Eagles get Ameobi boost

Newcastle striker and one of the longest serving players at the EPL side, Shola Ameobi, has again pledged his international future to the Super Eagles, declaring that the clause that prevented him from the Nations Cup, has now been rectified.

Team Scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor, broke the cheery news to Head Coach, Stephen Keshi during lunch in Kaduna where the national team is presently preparing for a crunch African Nations Championship (CHAN), qualifier against the Elephants of Cote D’ Ivoire.

There have been reports that Ameobi may not play for the national team following the insertion of the controversial clause in his contract at Newcastle.
