OWERRI—THE Imo State Police Command has been thrown into deep mourning, following the murder of a Deputy Superintendent of Police, simply identified as Mr. Tagbo.
Feelers from the state Police Headquarters, Owerri, revealed that the late Tagbo, who trained as a lawyer, was attacked in his private residence in Irete, Owerri West Local Government Area of the state.
An account had it that some armed gunmen stormed his Irete residence and murdered him.
Vanguard was also told that when the shooting had died down and when it was clear that the hoodlums had escaped, the dying police officer was immediately rushed to Federal Medical Centre, Owerri.
“The fine police officer reportedly gave up the ghost in the Federal Medical Centre as he had lost a lot of blood before arrival,” a sympathiser told Vanguard.
