How APC ‘ll win Anambra guber election—Okonkwo

AHEAD of the November 16, Anambra governorship election, the All Progressives Congress, APC, has vowed to trounce the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and other parties at the polls.

Deputy National Chairman of the party, Senator Annie Okonkwo, told reporters after meeting with stakeholders and Anambra women in Awka that the most important thing in governance was the protection of lives and property, but  noted that the present administration in Anambra had failed.

On the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Okonkwo said the party was encumbered by insincerity and confusion. He said: “I was in PDP but I left because I do not like what they are doing there. The essence of governance is to bring democracy dividends to the people but today, the PDP has failed to do it.

“People were scared whether the party will be registered, but today the All Progressives Congress has been registered as a political party. APC is a party that will continue to fight injustice. Before we started this journey, we prayed to God and today it has become a successful story. Even with all efforts of our enemies to ensure that it does not work, today, they have been put to shame.”

Speaking on his governorship ambition, the senator said: “I am not a neophyte in politics. I have been in Anambra politics for over 20 years and the people know me too well. I have been able to positively affect lives in the state. None of the aspirants has done half of what I have put on ground.”
