A member of the House of Representatives, Daniel Reyenieju, yesterday, condemned the mayhem that was unleashed on some communities in Warri on Monday.
Reyenieju urged the National Assembly to compel the security agencies to do their jobs in the area.
Said he: “I know very well that those areas are pretentiously secured. The creeks are supposed to be secured by men of Operation Pulo Shield.
“It is so painful because some of us who experienced the past Warri crisis don’t want to see a throwback to the dark days of the past.
"Unfortunately, we seem to be backsliding to that era. I don’t want to see it as a Warri conflict, but activities of some miscreants.”
Reyenieju maintained that the act of impunity by the invaders would not be allowed to continue, saying “we would never let it go unpunished because the lives that have been lost are lost forever".
