Akure — FOUR suspected killers of a Police constable, Omoniyi Edema, attached to Bolorunduro police post in Ogbese Division of Ondo State, have been arrested.
Those arrested include the receiver of the motorcycle of the deceased policeman.
Police detectives picked up the suspects following tip-off.
Confirming the arrest, police image-maker, Wole Ogodo, said they were being detained at the police Criminal Investigation Department, CID, section in Akure, the state capital.
Ogodo gave the names of the suspects to include Amen John (21) from Benue State; Aboi Michael (19) also from Benue; Olowolagba Toyin (22) Ikaram Akoko in Akoko North West and Adeniyi Friday (27) from Kabba, Kogi State, who is the receiver of the deceased motorcycle.
The deceased policeman was ambushed and gunned down, September 1, 2013, while riding on his motorcycle at 5.40 am to resume for his morning duty.
Edema, according to Ogodo, was shot dead and his killers made away with his motorcycle.
